Job Description
Both Full-time and Part-time positions are available!
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor dogs in play yards to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a secure environment for all campers throughout the facility.
- Prepare meals and feed dogs according to their dietary needs.
- Clean yards, cabins, and other areas of the facility as required to uphold hygiene standards.
- Perform grooming services, including baths and nail trims, for dogs.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Must always remain active and attentive.
- Exhibit high attention to detail in all tasks.
- Maintain punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
Requirements
- Must genuinely love dogs, embracing the noise, hair, messes, affection, and smiles that come with the job.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the USA.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs including dog food and supplies as needed.
- Capability to walk and/or stand for the entire duration of the shift.
- First Aid and CPR certification for dogs required with in 60 days of employment
Availability
This is an hourly position requiring flexibility in scheduling. Camp Bow Wow operates seven days a week, from 6:15 AM to 7:00 PM, in all weather conditions Monday through Saturday. On Sundays and holidays, shifts are from 6:15 AM to 11:00 AM and 2:45 PM to 7:00 PM, and must be available to work both shifts
Time off may be granted with advance notice.
Compensation
The hourly pay ranges from $16.50 to $19.00 based on prior work experience

All dogs must meet our requirements, pass our interview, and must be friendly towards people and other dogs.

- You must have a high tolerance for barking. We take dogs of all types and sizes so be prepared to handle small and big dogs.
- Supervising dogs during playtime and managing their behavior.
- Picking up and cleaning up dog waste.
- Cleaning indoor and outdoor play areas, cabins/kennels, food bowls, cots, etc.
- Escorting dogs from play areas to and from cabins/kennels, lobby, and groom room.
- Feeding and watering dogs.
- First Aid and CPR for Dogs certification is required (must get certification within 60 days of employment).
We are looking for camp counselors who:
- Love dogs - Accept direction.
- Follow procedures and rules.
- Can work as a part of a team.
- Available to work full time during the morning shift (6:20am - 1:00 pm) or afternoon shift, (11:45 am - 7:00 pm).
- Are available to work Weekends and all Holidays.
- Are punctual and reliable, responsible and flexible with hours, and must be at work on time.
